“I was very much an oil and gas guy through and through and I think like a lot of people who come from that background, I viewed electric vehicles and zero-emission transportation with a fair bit of skepticism, not because I was opposed to it, but just because there were so many promises that people had made for so long, and there were targets that were set that were pushed out and pushed out again, and pushed out again. It just felt like the idea that was never going to arrive, as they say, the technology of the future. And it will always be the technology of the future and it’s where it started a change for me.”

Scott Sharabura is the Vice President of Electric Vehicle Charging for Parkland Corporation, one of the fastest growing convenience and fuel marketers in the Americas, focusing on developing a new EV charging business under the ON the RUN banner. Prior to his current role, he led Parkland’s strategy team, where he led the development of a 10-year energy transition strategy. Prior to Parkland, Scott spent 15 years with leading management consulting firms Booz Allen Hamilton and McKinsey, where he advised senior executives in North America, Latin America, and the Middle East on strategy development, organization design, and operational improvement in oil & gas, mining and chemicals.
